Our first store, opened in April 2004, features a nostalgic design highlighted by white-marble tabletops, hardwood floors, hand-painted menus, mosaic tiles, and a collection of ice cream-centric art and antiques. An outdoor patio with 60's music and seating for 30 makes Broadway the place to be in Lakeview for ice cream on any summer night. We make all of our homemade ice cream, yogurt, and sorbet in a tiny factory here and on a peak summer day this cozy little store serves over 1,200 customers and produces 250 gallons of ice cream.

Southport opened in January 2005 and features a more robust café offering combined with all of the same great ice cream favorites. Loyal fans of Broadway note this location is larger, newer, and more contemporary in design than the original Bobtail – which is true. With a total seating capacity of 38 indoors and 40 outdoors, this site is perfect for big crowds and lots of strollers in the summer and has plenty of space to spread out, study, play games, and enjoy the café atmosphere in the colder months.

Actually two separate kiosks in located in the Northeast and Southeast corners of Buckingham Fountain Plaza, these sites opened in May 2006. Talk about an unbeatable patio --our outdoor seating looks out over Lake Michigan, Buckingham Fountain, the Chicago Skyline and Millennium Park! For a truly memorable experience, stop by after a dinner in the Loop to watch the sunset over the buildings to the West and then stick around for the nightly light & music show. Look for these stores to be cranking hard at Taste of Chicago, Lollapalooza, the Chicago Marathon, and all of the other Grant Park events. And be patient…the lines may look long, but they move fast.
